How to eat healthy on holidays?
Just go to healthy restaurants and order healthy food! Easy as that!
And if you stay in a hotel – take the healthy options at the breakfast buffet. I have never seen a buffet without fruit before. Usually it’s even nicely cut up and can be eaten as a fruit salad with a fork. Healthy eating made easy!! 🥝
↠ It takes DISCIPLINE to make healthy eating a HABIT. But once it has turned into a HABIT your subconscious mind will make you sustain that habit wherever you go. Which means that even on holidays, you will try to eat the same foods, drink the same coffee and follow a similar morning routine. Ever noticed that?
↠ If you find it hard to eat healthy on holidays, that’s because you don’t eat healthy at home. Start with your groceries. What you buy there is what you eat later at home. Don’t cheat. Skip the packaged food section and go straight to the fruits & vegetable section. The only packaged items in your trolley should be legumes, whole grains, spices, seeds and nuts. READ THE INGREDIENT LIST. 3 ingredients or less is a good rule of thumb. Avoid products with added sugar. Make an exception for some processed foods SOMETIMES. Don’t be too strict.
↠ I challenge you to only buy whole foods on your next shopping trip. I do that all the time! It’s not so hard, I promise! It just takes some discipline in the beginning. It’s so worth it though!🥝🏼
